Anthony Cardiero serves as Chief Financial Officer of Churchill, bringing over a decade of financial leadership experience across alternative investments and corporate finance. Since joining the firm in 2021, Anthony has been instrumental in shaping Churchill’s financial strategy and operational infrastructure, overseeing the firm’s corporate finance, accounting, treasury, capital management, and FP&A functions. He plays a central role in capital allocation decisions, investor reporting, and enterprise-wide risk management, partnering closely with senior leadership to drive sustainable growth and long-term value creation. Anthony also leads Churchill’s internal control framework, ensuring the firm maintains the highest standards of financial integrity and regulatory adherence.
Prior to joining Churchill, Anthony served as a fund controller at Barings, where he oversaw the financial reporting of more than $10 billion in alternative assets spanning private equity, commercial real estate, and residential finance. In that role, he developed deep expertise in complex fund structures, multi-asset portfolio reporting, and institutional investor relations. Earlier in his career, Anthony held financial reporting roles within the technical accounting and investor relations group at MSC Industrial, where he gained foundational experience in public company reporting standards and SEC compliance. Before that, Anthony began his career at Deloitte in their audit practice, where he served clients across a range of industries and built a rigorous foundation in financial reporting, internal controls, and GAAP compliance.
Anthony holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from Youngstown State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Ohio.
