Takuya Sugimoto is a Director of Churchill Finance Japan (CFJ) responsible for overseeing the firm’s investment functions in Japan. Before joining Churchill in 2023, Takuya spent two years at the Financial Services Agency (Japan FSA) monitoring retail financial products. Previously, Takuya held various pivotal positions at Barclays, including Head of Credit Structuring Japan, and earlier worked at Morgan Stanley for nearly 15 years. Takuya began his career as an analyst and economist at the Bank of Japan. Takuya received an MBA with high honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an LLB from the University of Tokyo.
